New energy management standard BS ISO 50005 provides SMEs with a clear and guided pathway to saving energy, money and carbon. BEIS is sponsoring 100,000 free downloads of the standard, as part of the government’s Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy.

Not only is it important that businesses play a part in combatting climate change, but reducing energy use and carbon emissions can also save money and attract customers. Organisations downloading the standard will also be invited to sign up to the SME Climate Commitment, which comes with access to further resources, support and information on how to take action against climate change.
