Free festival of funders and finance

MoneyFEST speaker line up - 10am Julian Bowrey from Innovate Edge UK, 11am Ashley Shipman from Angels & Unicorns, 12pm Panel session 'Why investors say no', 1pm Rory Alkin from Catax, 2pm Davies Okeowo from GBSLEPNatWest is inviting entrepreneurs in the Midlands to MoneyFEST Birmingham, a free event on Tuesday 15 November.

The aim of MoneyFEST is to help business owners learn about how to grow their businesses, particularly through the current cost of living crisis. It takes place at Brindley Place in Birmingham, and speakers will include a number of local business experts, including Ashely Shipman from investment group Angels & Unicorns, Andy Moss from FSE Group and Davies Okeowo from Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP.

The event runs from 10am to 3pm, and the focus is on sharing experiences, advice and information to help entrepreneurs overcome the barriers to growth that they are currently facing. There will also be signposting to potential grant funding, crowd funding, venture capital, investment, angel investors and other sources of finance.

Deborah Lewis, regional ecosystem manager at NatWest, said: “With the cost of living crisis continuing, now can feel a more daunting time than ever to be thinking about growing or starting a business, so I’d encourage entrepreneurs who are looking for support, signposting or guidance on understanding the business landscape to come along to MoneyFEST and build their network.”
