Free help for micro-businesses to go digital

Did you know that a quarter of micro-businesses still use no technology at all? Aston Business School and University of Birmingham Enterprise are working together to change this with the Leading to Grow programme.

Leading to Grow is a free half-day workshop designed by the Chartered Association of Business Schools to help business owners make informed decisions about the right technology to support growth, innovation and to increase productivity. Led by small business experts, the workshop will give participants an overview of new technologies, give tailored professional advice and offer the opportunity to receive further one-to-one mentoring.

The programme is aimed at micro-businesses and is fully funded through the government’s Business Basics Fund. To be eligible, businesses must be formally registered and have a trading history of at least three years. Participants must employ between one and nine people and not have participated in any other business school programme targeted at raising productivity within the last year.

The workshops will be taking place in Birmingham on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 18 February
  • Tuesday 25 February
  • Wednesday 26 February
  • Thursday 5 March

If Leading to Grow sounds like the right programme for you, then don’t dawdle – registration closes on Monday 2 March.
