Guardian House proves West Bromwich is in demand

Recently refurbished Guardian House is now fully occupied, just one of many successful recent developments showing that West Bromwich is the place to be.

In December 2018, plans for 128 new homes on Phoenix Street were given the go-ahead, transforming a disused factory site next to the canal into detached and semi-detached houses, terraces and apartments.

In July 2019, plans for the £13m Canalside development on Black Lake were revealed, comprising 53 houses and 17 apartments and bringing a derelict industrial estate back to life.

In December 2019, the Mayor of Sandwell was one of the people cutting the ribbon to open Victoria Court, a brand new building of 49 apartments and four retail units designed and built by local developers Detail C.

These are just a handful of the projects bringing people and business to West Bromwich, attracted by modern developments, town centre facilities and fast and frequent transport links to Birmingham. You can read more about the regeneration of West Bromwich here.

The final tenants to move into Guardian House on Cronehills Linkway are FCL Health Solutions and FCL Global Forwarding, a pharmaceutical company and freight service, meaning that all 41,650 sq ft of space in the building is now fully let. Other tenants include technology company Toshiba, law firm Clark Brookes Turner Cary, and SIPS – Sandwell Inspired Partnership Services (look out for a #madeinsandwell Monday feature on SIPS in March).

In a statement from letting agents Bond Wolfe, managing director James Mattin said: “Guardian House sits right in the middle of all the local amenities and tenants benefit from the close proximity to the New Square retail and leisure development.”

Marvin Elson, representing the FCL Group, said: “The location helps make our offices a great place for our employees to work and thus we are delighted with this positive start to the year.”

Think Sandwell wishes the FCL Group all the best in their new home, and looks forward to more good news from West Bromwich’s regeneration and redevelopment projects. To find out how we can help you find the perfect premises for your business, visit our Property and Planning pages.
