A Perry & Co is the largest supplier and manufacturer of hinges, ironmongery, chain and threaded bar in the UK. It has been making hinges in the Black Country since 1925 and now supplies customers across the UK and Europe.

The family-owned business outgrew its 50,000 sq ft site on Doulton Road in Cradley Heath after an expansion in its product range led to an increase in customers. With the help of a £3.5m investment from Barclays, the company has moved just down the road into premises almost double the size.

The new 90,000 sq ft facility includes factory, warehouse and office space spread across five acres of land. The additional space will increase storage capacity, enabling the company to hold thousands of products in stock and dramatically improve dispatch times. It has also meant five more staff have been added to its 80-strong workforce.

With a 2017 catalogue which boasts over 15,000 products, A Perry & Co hopes its new premises will help the company to grow and invest in the future, and to continue to play an important part in the local community.
