Land sale increases Black Country housing
Up to 70 new homes are to be built on a former industrial site in Cradley Heath.
The Park Lane site has been disused since fire destroyed a plastic mouldings factory in 2009. The buildings were demolished and the 6.9-acre site abandoned.
However, its secluded position, with views towards Clee Hill and Clee Stanton, makes it ideal for residential housing. The land has been bought by the Homes and Communities Agency, which now plans to build up to 70 new homes on the site.
Property consultants Bruton Knowles, who completed the sale on behalf of East India Trading Company 1998 Ltd, welcomed HCA’s commitment to the regeneration of brownfield sites and the provision of much needed new housing in Cradley Heath.
