New Black Country industrial units ready for occupation
The first phase of development at Vaughan Park industrial estate has brought five brand new units onto the market, ranging between 8,000 and 24,000 sq ft.
The Tipton site, with its well-established industrial location just three miles from the M5, and skilled local workforce, is expected to prove popular in a region where there is a strong demand for industrial space. One of the new units is already under offer.
The five new units were built by Halesowen firm A&H Construction, on behalf of the developer, CEG. The second phase of the £32m development will involve the creation of a new distribution facility for shipping and courier business the DPD Group, and it’s hoped that the overall project will create up to 1,000 jobs at the site.
Agents for the 28-acre site are CBRE and Bulleys. Max Shelley, an associate at Bulleys, said “All units already have detailed planning permission for light industry, general industrial use and storage and distribution.” Lawrence Escott, investment manager at CEG, said: “This development has delivered high quality industrial and warehouse space in a secure and very well-located environment.”
