Available now: Omicron grants for hospitality businesses

Two pub glasses with medical masks over themCalling hospitality businesses in Sandwell! There’s a grant to help relieve some of the financial difficulties caused by the Omicron variant of coronavirus.

‘Hospitality’ is defined here as businesses in accommodation or food and beverage services, and leisure premises.

Grants of between £2.7k and £6k can be claimed, to help with the dual impact of staff absences and lower consumer demand since the emergence of the Omicron variant.

The grants have been made available by central government. The Business Rates Team at Sandwell Council is responsible for issuing them here in our borough – and they want you to come forward and apply.

To be eligible, your Sandwell business must be solvent, and a ratepayer in the hospitality and leisure sector. Sandwell Council is issuing the grants per premises and the amount paid is varied by rateable value of each eligible premises.

Grants do not have to be paid back.

Apply today! See Sandwell Council’s coronavirus support page to find out how.
