Road closure postponed
***UPDATE: the planned closure has now been rescheduled. Read more here.***
As we reported on Friday 18 June, the M6 was due to be closed in both directions from Friday 2 to Monday 5 July. This closure has now been postponed, and the motorway will be open as usual on those dates.
The closure, which will be rescheduled, is so that important work can be done on two bridges, part of improvements to junction 10. The work has been postponed due to unforeseen changes to the planned delivery route.
In a letter announcing the change, Highways England apologised for any disruption caused. Once the work has been rescheduled, Think Sandwell will share the information to our networks, so if your business is likely to be affected, make sure you’re following @thinkSandwell on Twitter, and checking our news pages regularly.
