A popular wedding reception venue in Sandwell has secured funding for expansion from Barclays. The Prestige Suite plans to extend its current site in Smethwick by an additional 11,840 square feet.

The venue provides tailor-made packages for various events, including banquets, corporate events, charity events, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, fashion shows, examinations, product launches, prom nights, wakes, theatre productions and musical performances.

It has in-house fine-dining catering specialists and provides bespoke theming and décor for each event. It offers luxury facilities and a dedicated hospitality team to work with clients.

Currently its ground floor suite has a capacity of up to 800 in a theatre style and 700 in a banquet style. On the first floor its Imperial room caters for smaller events for up to 120 people in a banquet style or 200 people in a theatre style.

Following the planned refurbishment with the secured seven-figure sum funding it will be able to cater for up to 1,000 people at any given event. The venue is also expanding its on-site parking facilities. Work is expected to complete in spring 2018.

Since opening in 2013 the business has gone from strength to strength and was selected as the ‘Best Banquet Centre 2017’ at The British Asian Wedding Awards in London and also at the Midlands Asian Wedding Awards.
