Sandwell based Cougar Monitoring invests £1m in new training facilities

CRADLEY Heath-based security firm Cougar Monitoring has invested £1m in new facilities which include a state of the art technology training centre.

The firm, which supplies security monitoring as well as manned security, says it has noticed that training within a live environment is not as effective as training within a safe, learning, focused environment.

It also intends to open up the facilities for use by technology partners in the industry such as Videcon and RISCO Group.

The training facilities aim to increase staff productivity by enhancing their security knowledge and skills.

Daren Hill, operations director, said: “The investment in our new innovative site facilities will ensure that our staff get the very best training available, enabling them to carry out their duties as efficiently and smoothly as possible.”

Cougar says its training will fall into line with industry accreditation in providing adequate training schemes.

Established in 1996, Cougar Monitoring now has customers throughout the UK.
