Sandwell-based Futura Group celebrates its best year yet

Congratulations to Futura Group, which has just experienced its best 12 months in business.

The technical recruitmPaul Cadman of Futuraent and prototyping company, which has its headquarters in Oldbury, saw sales exceeding £25m for its last trading year.

Futura, which began life in 1987 as the sole distributor of styling clay to the UK automotive design industry, has secured new contracts with prestigious car makers including Bentley, Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren and VW Group.

Thanks to over £3m of new orders placed with Futura Group, more than 50 new jobs have been created in the UK, including apprenticeships and graduate roles. Designers from Futura are now working with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in developing new exterior and interior designs to improve both the comfort and performance of cars.

Paul Cadman, managing director [pictured], told Business Desk WM: “There are numerous facets to Futura, but all businesses across the group have the same ethos that focuses on innovation, nurturing creativity and encouraging people be the best they can be.

“The recent growth has been driven by the development of our studios, with the design departments of all of the UK’s major automotive OEMs taking full advantage of Futura’s model creation capabilities.

“We have built a team with the skill set and knowledge to cover all aspects of product design and we can provide every service that a customer may require in their development plan, including CAD engineering, five-axis CNC, 3D printing, clay, digital and hard modelling.”
