Sandwell logistics firm wins business of the year award
West Bromwich-based logistics company Warley Carriers was awarded the ‘Business of the Year’ award at the third Nachural Business Awards recently.
Nachural organises business-to-business events and its annual business awards recognise the achievements of individuals and companies from across the West Midlands region.
The awards embrace businesses from all sectors and this year the winners were announced at an awards dinner held at Wolverhampton racecourse.
Warley Carriers is a family-run business that employs 65 people and operates an extensive company-owned fleet, which includes vehicles of all sizes, ranging from Transit vans to articulated units.
The firm has been servicing the needs of leading automotive manufacturers and OEMs across the Irish sea for over twenty years and it is now investing in further sites to service its Irish operation.
It collected its Business of the Year award from a black-tie awards dinner, which attracted nearly 500 people from the business community. The keynote speaker was Byron Dixon, the founder of antibacterial and antifungal brand Micro-Fresh.
Mr Dixon talked about the need to be persistent and bold as an entrepreneur and that whilst Brexit was causing some uncertainty, entrepreneurs were adaptable and innovative and could overcome such obstacles.
Chief executive of Nachural, Ninder Johal, also talked about the uncertainty around the Brexit situation. He asserted that the long-term future for the UK was still very bright if companies continued to innovate and add value to their products. He also spoke positively about the contribution of the region and its broad range of sectors.
Congratulations Warley Carriers!
