Sandwells’ Mayor officially opens Pure Offices, Oldbury

The Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Mrs Joyce Underhill, officially launched Pure Offices, Oldbury on Wednesday 2 November.  The Centre is the first office development in the region by Newbury-based serviced office space company Pure Offices.

The purpose-built serviced offices provide 65 offices and suites over three floors.  There is a choice of communications packages with low cost telephones and fast business broadband.  Space is available to rent on a monthly rolling licence fee which includes building services charge, heating, 24-hour security and waste disposal.  Occupiers have free car parking and the use of a meeting room which is bookable at £60 per day.  The Centre has excellent transport links – the offices are right next to the Sandwell and Dudley Rail Station and close to the Midlands motorway network.

Members of the Council, the Chamber and local agents attended the official opening.  The first licencees to occupy an office, NorthgateArinso, also joined the celebration.  NorthgateArinso are a global human resources services provider with a presence in fifty cities across the world.

Cllr Ian Jones, Sandwell’s cabinet member for jobs and economy, said:

“We’re very pleased to welcome Pure Offices to Oldbury. Offices of this quality, and on such flexible letting terms, are just what Sandwell needs to attract businesses into the Borough and to make it easier for local businesses to start up and grow.

This Centre has been brought forward in partnership with the Council on a site we still own. As Pure Offices have discovered, Sandwell Council is able to work innovatively with private developers to bring forward successful employment, creating projects despite the credit crunch and recession. We’d welcome approaches from other developers who are interested in working with the Council to further improve Sandwell’s business property offer and help create more jobs for local residents.”

Nick Smith, Managing Director of Pure Offices, said “I’m delighted with our first development in the Black Country. The Centre has already attracted a company of the international calibre of NorthgateArinso.  We have already let 2 more offices and firm interest continues to pour in from all over the region from businesses looking for contemporary office suites that are extremely well appointed, fully serviced and ready to move into. Barnwood Construction has delivered an excellent high quality build and Sandwell Council have been supportive from the outset in bringing this project to fruition.

Our Centre Manager, Stella Broster, is eager to introduce interested businesses to the excellent facilities we have on offer, including monthly contracts and instant connectivity. Stella can be contacted on 0121 314 1366.”
