Thinking inside and outside the box: a strong work ethic #madeinsandwell

Let’s unpack this week’s #madeinsandwell Monday star company: J4 Packaging on Heath Street Industrial Estate in Smethwick.

J4 Packaging is a family business which started in 2007 as a box manufacturer. Over the intervening ten years, it has expanded to become one of the UK’s leading suppliers in the pacJ4 Packagingkaging industry, providing a wide range of products, such as protective and postal packaging, labels and packaging tape, stretch film and strapping as well as janitorial and hygiene supplies.

Dave Allen, sales representative for J4, said the company’s success can be attributed to several things.

“Our managing director, Satty Singh, is very hands on within the company and the whole team has a strong work ethic, which helps to make us consistently reliable. We also have very strong relationships with our suppliers, which means we can give our customers high-quality products at competitive prices.

“Our prices certainly make my job easier! Many customers migrate to J4 when they hear how much money we can save them.”

Dave also explained how J4’s location in Sandwell is beneficial to the company.

“In Smethwick we are nicely positioned for both the Black Country and Brum. Our one branch serves customers within a forty-mile radius.”

Looking to the future, J4 Packaging intends to continue to exploit Sandwell’s excellent road and rail networks to maintain its organic growth trajectory, and to achieve its aim of becoming the complete packaging solutions provider for an ever-expanding customer base. We wish Satty, Dave and the rest of the J4 team the very best of luck.
