Transport company Rotala, headquartered on Tipton Road in Tividale, has done a deal with First Manchester to purchase its depot in Bolton, along with most of the associated business. The move will significantly expand Rotala’s presence in the north west of England.

The asset purchase agreement, worth £5.3m, will see Rotala leasing 125 buses from First Manchester to service 18 bus routes, making it the second largest bus company in Manchester. Rotala plans to make the depot its north west headquarters and progressively replace the vehicles over the next two years.
