West Bromwich truck company drives past £155m turnover
Keltruck, headquartered on Kenrick Way in West Bromwich, increased its turnover from £149.6m to £156.8m for the year to 31 December 2018. This was matched by a jump in pre-tax profits from £4.6m to £5m.
The truck and parts company, which is the largest independent Scania distributor in Europe, has been operating since 1983 and now employs approximately 430 people across 20 sites in the Midlands and South Wales. Keltruck’s West Bromwich depot houses the world’s largest Scania truck recycling facility.
While enjoying last year’s increase in turnover and pre-tax profits, Keltruck bosses anticipate that the market for new vehicles will remain static in the current year. They aim to offset the reduced profit margin by increasing sales of used vehicles. In a statement signed off by the board, Keltruck bosses said that: “Activity levels and customer confidence remain strong and the group remains well placed to take advantage of any market opportunities that may be presented.”
Think Sandwell congratulates Keltruck on its success and wishes the company all the best for the future. To find out how we can help you boost your business, visit our business services pages.
