Think Sandwell is working in collaboration with Sandwell College to bring you the latest Get Connected in Sandwell event on Tuesday 22 November. Sponsored by NatWest, this evening networking event at the college is dedicated to the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

There will be two guest speakers during the evening.

Philip Calcutt from A&M EDM Ltd will talk about the role of research and development (R&D) in business and why it's important to SMEs, plus the challenges and opportunities it may present. He will also talk about tax credits for R&D.

Fab Lab manager Anne Scrimshaw will show you how you could utilise the local Fab Lab and its fantastic facilities. The ‘digital fabrication laboratory’ based at Sandwell College has a wide range of machines and tools (including 3D printers and precision laser cutters) available for use by businesses, creative professionals and schools.

Get Connected also presents plenty of opportunity for networking and the chance to take a tour of the Fab Lab.
