On Thursday 9 March, as part of the larger Midlands engine trade summit, the Black Country Chambers of Commerce are running a discussion and networking session at the summit.

This Chambers exclusive event will offer guests the opportunity to hear from the newly appointed Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, Dr Adam Marshall, on the issues of "trading locally, trading globally". Based in Westminster, Dr Marshall has a real insight into the thinking and policy-making of Government and, most importantly, interprets such policy making from a business-perspective.

Lord Bridges of Headley MBE in his role as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for exiting the European Union will be joining this interactive session.

The event will be informal and a great opportunity to meet and network with strategic and corporate clients from across the whole of the Midlands.

The Midlands Chambers of Commerce comprises six Chambers of Commerce in the West Midlands and three in the East Midlands. West Midlands Chambers alone represent a membership of some ten thousand businesses.
