    • Financial services industry could be damaged in the medium to longer term (Morgan Stanley)
    • Import costs have increased (ONS)
    • Materials brought in from abroad and fuel prices are on the increase (ONS)

New Year New Plan for Financial Freedom workshop with NatWest Bank and Beckford James Chartered financial planners

Financial Freedom is one of the main goals in life. But when do you know if you have enough? Put simply, financial independence requires financial planning.

Financial planning starts by working out what's important to you in life. Whether it's helping your children to buy a house or go to university, moving house yourself, planning early retirement or setting up and growing a business, you'll need to do some financial planning if you're going to achieve them. By working out what the costs will be and when you will need the money, you can start to plan your finances to work out how to get where you want to be.

Financial planning for business is often lower down the priority list especially when the day to day operations are frequently time consuming. However, lack of planning can have a significant impact upon the business if it is overlooked. Ensuring that the company can continue in the absence of key individuals for example, or that the ownership of the company remains in appropriate hands on death of a shareholder, can make sure that the business is not disrupted at an already difficult time.

NatWest Bank is part of the RBS group which has a wide array of market leading customer and financial brands. NatWest provides a full portfolio of products and services that were developed with a focus on businesses, helping them achieve their ambitions and save time and money.

Beckford James are independent chartered financial planners. Being independent means that they work across the whole market to find the best solutions for your needs. As a client focused organisation, they believe in a financial planning approach, rather than a product focused approach, and they believe that a large part of their role is to help their clients to crystallise their financial objectives, structure a realistic plan to achieve these goals and monitor and review these actions on a regular basis. Their chartered status is a reflection of their commitment to professionalism, ethics and learning, all of which translate into high quality financial planning.
