In support of high growth businesses and their founders across the Midlands, Barclays is proud to officially launch its brand new Eagle Lab facility, as part of the Serendip® Smart City Incubator at iCentrum.

Birmingham has been acknowledged as the second most entrepreneurial city in the UK for the last two years and we want to support and make life easier for these budding entrepreneurs throughout their journey and beyond.

Barclays Eagle Lab is a combined ‘Maker Space’ and ‘Incubator’, providing both the physical tools and expertise to allow early stage and established entrepreneurs to really flourish. The facility will incorporate unique co-working spaces to include:

• Digital cutting equipment
• State of the art connectivity
• Rapid prototyping equipment
• Ecosystem networking
• Mentoring and Coaching
• Digital Product showcasing
• Entrepreneurs in residence

There really isn’t anything else quite like this in the city centre and this presents entrepreneurs with a unique opportunity to commercialise their ideas and concepts.

At this official launch event, you’ll get the opportunity to look around the Eagle Lab, watch demonstrations of the new technology, plus hear from our first entrepreneur in residence,Khurum Choudhry, founder of Pharmanutricals Ltd, a sports industry supplements company.

Daniel Lowe, Owner and Founder of Fourpure Brewing Co, a travel inspired brewery in London creating modern craft beer, will also give a talk about his entrepreneurial journey so far.

Daniel is also an active advisor in TMT corporate finance and transaction space focussing on providing strategic acquisition and ongoing operational support to private equity.

Previously involved in the Data Centre and Internet Service Provider industry for more than 14 years Daniel was Founder and Managing Director of UKSolutions, which Daniel started at 19 while studying for an Engineering degree at Birmingham University.

UKSolutions was acquired in 2011 and became a part of Six Degrees Group and in June 2011 Daniel became Managing Director of Six Degrees Managed Data – the division encompassing all datacentre, connectivity and cloud services with run rate revenues over £40M reporting to the group CEO.

Daniel continued to work with Six Degrees Group as a Strategic Advisor on technology and M&A activity until the middle of 2014.
